Room 2: Features a King size bed, radiator, clothes rail, chest of drawers, TV / Freeview, and overall a larger area.

Guest Access
3 storey Victorian Townhouse, your room(s) is on the top floor so be prepared to walk up 3 flights of stairs. You are welcome to use the kitchen, dining room / office, front room and of course the bathroom.
Free on street parking where available (One way street so it's tricky at times), there is room behind the house for smaller vehicles for off street loading / unloading only.

Interaction with Guests
Usually there's someone about as we work from home in the dining room / office.
We hang out in the front room or chill in our bedroom (floor 2) so we're always in easy earshot if you have any questions.
We are super responsive to text messages if we are not at home, as we both have mobile phones switched on 24/7.

The Neighbourhood
A very warm and friendly local pub on the corner of the street with a jukebox and professional pool table.
Fast food: Breakfast from Dulcies at the top of the street, or Copper Kettle Cafe at the bottom of the road - Miss Millies fried chicken, Indian, Chinese, Kebab, Carvery / Fish n Chips, and also a World Food supermarket all within 1-3 minutes walk at the bottom of the road.

Getting Around
Situated smack bang in the centre of Weston-super-Mare it will be rare you need to get a taxi. One-way street, so hardly any traffic noise!
Right opposite the train station, main Tesco and the bus station so there's no worries in dragging your suitcases for miles.

Other Things to Note
We don't advertise breakfast however please feel free to help yourself to toast and whatever cereal we have in the kitchen. If we are out of bread there's usually some in the top drawer of the freezer.
Tea / Coffee - again, help yourself - usually we have skimmed or semi skimmed milk in the fridge.

Tips to be the perfect Airbnb Traveller

10 Tips to be the perfect Airbnb Traveller

Try these tips to get the most out of your booking and ensure you are the perfect Airbnb Traveller.

  1. Meet your Airbnb host in person if they are around, even if only for 5 minutes. This reassures everyone involved in the booking in case something should go wrong, as well as giving you a chance to ask about local tips.
  2. Always give your Airbnb host feedback: whether good, bad or neutral. This is a community site that works best if everyone contributes to maintain high accommodation standards. Little tips like ‘a hairdryer would have been useful’ could benefit the next person’s experience.
  3. Ask your Airbnb host questions beforehand about accommodation basics, in case they can only provide limited contact when you arrive. Confirm arrival and departure times and instructions, as well as must-haves like use of Wi-Fi and washing machine.
  4. If you have booked an Airbnb and you know you will be arriving late (post 11pm) or early (pre 6am) then discuss this with your host. It is never fun to feel stranded in an unknown city in the dark! They will need to make sure their location instructions are extra clear.
  5. Never forget that you are staying in someone’s home, and don’t treat any Airbnb booking as an opportunity to have your own guests round. Never start a party. Stay in a hostel if your priority is making new friends!
  6. If you are travelling on holiday/ business for more than a couple of nights, most Airbnb hosts offer discounted weekly or monthly rates. Also negotiate directly with a host as they can offer even lower Special Rates.
  7. Save more pennies on Airbnb if you are travelling in a group by searching for properties that are slightly smaller than the number in your party (e.g. sleeps 2 if you are 3). Then enquire if your host can offer an extra roll out bed before you book.
  8. One major benefit of Airbnb is that you will typically have a kitchen at your disposal. Save money by eating one or two meals in per day. A good host will leave kitchen basics like seasonings, small milk, coffee and tea.
